I’m afraid I have some bad news for Ellen fans and Universal Orlando fans alike. While no official statement was released by Universal, it seems certain now that Ellen will not be returning to Universal CityWalk in Orlando for her Spring Break shows. Several of our readers have contacted The Ellen Show directly and have been told the same thing: No Universal shows for Spring Break 2012. If you would like to verify this yourself, you can contact The Ellen Show at 818-954-6000.

It is sad indeed, as Ellen’s appearance at Universal Orlando makes for such a fun day, even if you don’t have tickets to see the actual show. You can keep reading below to see a little bit of the experience. Let’s hope we have better news in 2013!

(I suppose it is worth noting that the 2012 Ellen shows at Universal Orlando were not actually cancelled — rather, the shows were never scheduled or announced in the first place.)

The Ellen DeGeneres Show returns to Universal Orlando.

For the last few years Ellen DeGeneres has been taping her “Spring Break” shows at Universal CityWalk in Orlando. Even though there are two shows, they are taped on one day — usually a Sunday. The Ellen Show stage is set up right next to the CityWalk Lagoon, and the band performances happen on the main CityWalk stage. You can see pictures and video of all this below.

How can you get tickets to 2012 Ellen Show at Universal Orlando?

We were really hoping to see Ellen on Sunday, March 25 or Sunday, April 1. Unfortunately, there is no Ellen Spring Break shows taping at Universal Orlando this year. If you’d like to confirm this, you may visit her ticket site.  You’ll see no option for Universal shows, nor will you see any mention of them. Here’s the website address:
