Islands of Adventure: Should we still go 45 minutes before the park opens on slow and moderate days?

We are going to Universal Islands of Adventure on Feb 14th and Universal Studios on the 15th. We are 6 people and we want to know whether we need to line up early as suggested when crowd calendar shows the day is either slow or moderate?
