Drop off rest of party and then park car to save time getting to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter?

We will be traveling to Universal in March. Your website has convinced us to use a partner hotel to get the early admission to the park given we are all Harry Potter fans. However, we will be traveling late the night before, and the other members of my party are not made up of early risers to begin with :-) I was wondering if it would be worthwhile to use the drop off area right next to the transportation hub and then go park the car and catch up to the rest of my party so that they could get in line maybe 10 minutes earlier than if we all walked from the car park?

I pondered the valet parking, but it doesn’t look like it opens early enough (you pictures show 8:00 am opening, and the early hours start at 8:00, so that doesn’t help….)
